Who’s the fairest of them all.”

Disney’s real life Snow White movie has just entered the box office on March 21st, hoping to turn the various post criticisms that have been directed to their casting. However, those criticisms have only gotten worse.

The Snow White Real life movie featuring Rachel Zegler as Snow white, and Gal Gadot as the evil queen, entered the office on 3/19 in South Korea. (3/21 in USA)

From the moment the casting was released, it showed a huge plot twist than what people expected.  Rachel Zegler, unlike the cartoon, was Hispanic. There were even sayings that Gal Gadot was more beautiful than Snow White -a typical irony, as some said.

When the movie was released, it turned out that Disney had changed the storyline too. Snow White - the name originally from her white skin- was introduced as a girl who was born during a powerful blizzard.

Instead of her being a beautiful princess that longs for a dream and a true love, Snow White is also appeared as a passionate and determined girl who is thriving to take back her kingdom from the queen.

This snow white would ride horses, fight with power, and long for freedom.

This abrupt change has caused a string of various reactions which did include praises for their feminist approaches, but most were about how it destroyed the original element that made Snow White what it is.

Reviews also criticized the CGI and movie effects, many stating things such as “It looks and feels so artificial, the sets, the animals, as for The Dwarves themselves… The biggest catastrophe, not what I was expecting if I'm honest… Gal Gadot, she looks sensational, but her performance, she's going to scoop some unwanted awards it's fair to say.”

Dozens of memes and shorts have included

Certain videos from Zegler’s various interviews have also been an issue.

“Original cartoon came out in 1937, and very evidently so,” Zegler said in an interview. “There is a large focus on her love story with a guy who literally stalks her. Weird, weird… People will assume it is a love story just because we cast a guy. Andrew Burnap. All of Andrew’s scenes could get cut, who knows? It’s Hollywood, baby.”

Her words have brought even worse reactions from the viewers saying that she disregards her co-actors and is a true narcissist.

Snow White real life version owns one of the worst records of disney, with a total income of only 143 million dollars during the first two weeks compared to the 250 million dollars that went into its production.

This is the lowest earning real life movie there ever has been in Disney.

The amount of tickets fell 66% from the first week throughout the whole world, with merely a few audiences in the theaters.

The average review of this movie according to IMDb is 1.5/10, and 7.2/10 in Megabox South Korea.

The ticket purchasing rate was only 0.1% in Megabox, and the movie theaters were seen empty with no one willing to pay to watch this movie.

This another poor result with Disney’s real life recreation following Little Mermaid in 2024 shows that these modern political correctness movies are not just about whether they include diverse races, or change the storyline, but about its ability to recreate that magic that has once existed.

Disney is currently preparing a few other movies including Frozen 3 in 2027.

The question now is, will Disney manage to recover from their failure with these new movies?
